We also recognized what services were not readily available ... marketing guidance and assistance... successful internet marketing environments that identified veteran owned businesses and provided access to the general consumer via brand awareness and search engine results presence.

According to a study contracted by the * Small Business Administration, 5.8 percent of veterans as business owners indicated that their business was 100 percent dependent on the Internet. However, 22.5 percent indicated that their business was 50 percent or more dependent on the Internet. Additionally, there were indicators that web dependence might grow in the veteran business population. Veteran owned businesses would be more dependent on the Internet in the future.
